Mantra Amazement!

Wow. That's the first word that comes to mind when I think about all of the absolutely amazing mantras we received throughout this month's Mantra Challenge. As someone who loves mantras, this challenge was right up my alley — but I wasn't sure what kind of response we'd get from you. Quite frankly, I was blown away by how you all took to this and gave it everything you had. I was not only heartened by your commitment, I was also greatly inspired by the unique and personal submissions that came through my inbox — your words were truly beautiful.

A lot of you have asked me, "What's next?" Well, that depends on you. First and foremost, if you loved doing this challenge and you felt that creating your mantra had a positive effect on your life, then I would encourage you to transition the practice from a 30-day challenge into your daily life routine. You may only need to write it down (or say it out loud) once every day or once a week. Or perhaps the repetition of doing it multiple times a day, every day is what works best for you. Only you know your rhythms, so just trust your gut on this. The bottom line is that if it works, keep it up.

Your next question may be, "Do I continue using the same mantra, or do I come up with a new one?" Again, this is specific to your needs. Do you feel that your current mantra is something that can still inspire and motivate you? Is it having the same impact it did when you put it into play (or has the impact changed in a good way)? Again, if something's working for you, then stick with it. You may feel that the mantra you created for the challenge is no longer necessary, or you may have new needs that have arisen and you'd like to craft a new mantra to address them. If that's the case, then refocus your energy on a new mantra. Here's the great thing — your old mantras will always be around if you need them, and no one is saying that you can't use multiple mantras at the same time. Maybe you write one down in the morning and another when you go to bed. The point is to make this ritual yours — own it and it will become an organic part of your life.

Of course, we did have a Mantra Challenge, and although I loved reading each and every one of your mantras, only one person could win a free coaching session with me. That person is Kimberly D., and I can't wait to coach her and find out even more about how her mantra is working for her. For the rest of you, I truly appreciate all of your entries — you made my month! In case you aren't on our mailing list, I just wanted to let you all know that we're currently having a Summer Coaching Sale, so if you'd like to get some coaching with me (at $50 off every session!), click here for more details. Until next time, keep working on those mantras, and enjoy the beginnings of summer!
